In preparation for entering into West Africa, Rowan Companies contracted Braeden Engineering to perform a technical assessment on one of its jackup rigs. The assessment was focused on security and rig hardening for the region.

Rowan Gorilla IV – High Specification Jackup Upgrade

The Rowan Gorilla IV is a LeTourneau Technologies Gorilla Class jack-up drilling rig. Maximum water depth is 450 feet and the maximum POB is 86. Maximum hookload is 2,000,000 lbs, while the maximum drilling depth is 30,000 feet.
